Organ Blower Chamber

There is no sign on the door, the windows to the out side are not sealed, there is not attempt to cover anything here and there is no connection to the church or organ.

Main door

after Buxton's: above and below

Under the Sanctuary

Pulpit podium?

I wonder if these pieces of stone were part of the pulpit?
Nice bit of gilding!

Pillar for St Mary Magdalen

Stairs in the crypt

I presume these were originally intended to be stairs to a cemetry, which was never erected, originally they opened up into the Church, I should have taken pictures of the underside of the floor boards as the would be later than the rest.
I exmined the foorboards, there is no sign of "dishing" from underneath.

Auxilliary Confessional

This is situated at the back of the Church in the corner.

It measures 200 x 110 cm.

It seems to have been bodged together from a wardrobe or sacristy cupboard. In the priest side there is a staioned glass panel of the Good Shepherd, apparently saved from a convent c 1950.

The confessional hides an original stained glass window.
